Kid’s Camp Update!

Wsfchurch   -

HELLO FRIENDS,

As most of you know, we are just coming off of our 2023 Greater Oregon Kids Camp. We joined with several other churches from all over Greater Oregon and Washington to lead a four-day, three-night camp out at Canby Grove Campground. I wanted to take just a moment share a few highlights from our trip.

This year we had 205 3rd-6th grade students and 63 leaders come to camp, and over those four days we of course spent plenty of time cooling off by the pool and the river, played a lot of games teaching us about team spirit and competition, and ate way too many camp snacks. But more importantly, kids experienced times of fellowship and worship with our whole camp, quiet time one on one with the Lord, devotional times with just their cabins, and workshops on how to further explore worship and spiritual gifts.

By the end of our trip we are able to count:

38 first time salvations

42 rededications

36 received their spiritual prayer language

15 were physically healed

and 17 were called to ministry

And that is just from the small seeds that were planted on this trip. We are so excited to see how those seeds blossom over this next year!

We are so grateful for the generosity of our congregation. Your giving allowed those students and leaders needing scholarships to be able to attend and be a part of such an incredible week for God’s Kingdom.

And finally, we have to thank our amazing team of counselors and leaders who made this experience so special for our students. A lot happens at camp but the relationships made and connections with mentors are memories that last a lifetime and none of it is possible without those who have a heart to serve and love on this generation of believers.

What an honor it was to see God work in the lives of these young people. We are so proud of our students for the work they have done to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and we already have an enthusiastic group of campers counting down till next summer!
