Come to me

Hello Friends

‘Have you ever wondered what you would do if Jesus showed up on your doorstep today? What would He say to you? This image is playing in my mind as a write this: Jesus standing on the other side of the doorframe, arms wide open, “Come to Me,” he says. Come to Me. 

Contrary to the opinion of an overthinker (here!), the questions that truly matter in life are remarkably few. I wonder how many of those questions would be answered by those 3 uncomplicated words. 

My heart can be stubborn and prideful— unwilling to come when the Lord calls me. But everytime I untether my hand to the dock and let Him pull me out to sea, He sustains me and shows me that I can trust Him when the tide swells and the storms rage. 

So I will come to Him, joyfully and deliberately. I continuously commit my life to simply being in His presence because in Him I find rest and sustanance; He is my Firm Foundation.
